Loïc Aubrée has a doctorate in geography. He is a member of the Explorers of Transition Chair, after having directed the Cresge, a research and study centre at ICL, for many years. His work was mainly focused on the analysis of housing needs and national and local housing policies, for the entire population of a territory or for specific groups such as low-income populations, young people, the elderly, etc. For several years now, he has been working in the field of energy transition, in particular within the framework of the rev3 program initiated by the Hauts-de-France Region. He is interested in the policies implemented by public actors and in considering the behaviour of users. He contributes, within the framework of the Live Tree program (energy transition program of the Université Catholique de Lille) to the development of interactions between human and social sciences and engineering sciences. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal “Développement durable et Territoires”.
